Hotel Original - The Mole Antonelliana in Turin

Monument symbol of the city of Turin, thanks to its original and imposing form, the Mole Antonelliana (named after its architect) was begun in 1862 as a Jewish temple.

The construction was continued in 1878 with the addition of the lantern and the truncated conical elements. It was finished in 1889 by Costanzo Antonelli, son of Alessandro Antonelli who had started it.

The Mole Antonelliana is 163.35 meters high and is the tallest building in the world with a masonry structure. On his spire stands a winged genius.
In 1953 a strong storm knocked over forty meters of cusp that was replaced by the metal structure, with stone cladding that we can admire today.

A panoramic lift allows you to reach the small temple under the spire from which you can admire a breathtaking view of the city of Turin.

The Mole Antonelliana currently hosts the National Cinema Museum.
