Not far from the city center of Turin lies the beautiful and historical river park of Valentino redesigned in the nineteenth century by the French landscape designer Barrillet-Dechamps.

The origin of the name of this green area is uncertain (even if for someone it should be traced back to the saint of lovers whose remains are kept in a nearby church), well known to Turinese lovers of jogging and cycling.
