Cathedral of San Giovanni and Chapel of the Holy Shroud in Turin
The Turin Cathedral is dedicated to St. John the Baptist, the patron saint of the city.
Built between 1491 and 1498 at the behest of Cardinal della Rovere, the cathedral in Renaissance style has a white marble façade onto which there are three portals decorated with reliefs and a red brick bell tower with the crowning of the Juvarra.
The interior has a basilica layout and is in the shape of a Latin cross with three naves with Gothic elements.
